It's official...

...I am moving to Vegas on January 6th and starting my new job on the 16th. I was trying to keep it under wraps as much as possible here at work until I got my offer letter in the mail. Well, it got here yesterday and so I gave my official notice today. Funny enough, our branch Christmas party was today and so I was talking about it with my team lead during the luncheon and so naturally people around us overheard and were curious. I'm actually surprised at the amount of support that I'm getting from the folks here.

I'm not sad to be leaving my job but it will be different moving to the west coast - or close to it. Seeing as how I've spent my entire life here in the South, I have a feeling that I might suffer a slight bit of culture shock when I move out there. One thing's for certain, it will be nice not to have to deal with the humidity anymore! I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow to go look at some homes that I'm interested in purchasing. Hopefully I'll find something in my price range that I like and will be able to make an offer on.

I know one person in Vegas so if you know someone there that could show me around, please, please, please put me in touch with him or her. I don't want to die one of those lonely Vegas deaths where no one knows that you're gone until the smell starts to drift out into the street. If anyone's in the area and wants to come visit, just drop me a line.
