Like many Americans today, I'm stealing company time to watch a historic moment. Why not multi-task and blog about it so I can get fired more easily with a minute by minute accounting of how slack I'm being?

7:55AM - I'm a Republican but I can't help but get excited about today. There's just something cool about someone else besides an old white guy being sworn in as President. I'm no Obama cultist or hater but I'm not going sit there and not give him a fair shot.

8:25AM - I'm sorry but the younger Barbara Bush is still a hottie. I'd get with that Yalie.

8:43AM - What's the deal with the President-elect being announced as Barack H. Obama? PR folks tell him that Hussein wasn't a good idea or something?

8:48AM - Rick Warren is doing the invocation?! That's pretty sweet.

8:58AM - Biden's hair could withstand gale force winds. It's funny, this is the standard oath for all government employees. I've taken it a couple of times. :-)

9:00AM - Yo-Yo-Ma – I love that guy. Such a talent. Is it just me or do us AzN folk always look sharp suited up? :-)

9:06AM - Here we go: Republicans are going to call Obama an idiot for bungling the oath, Democrats are going to blame John Roberts for screwing it up.

9:10AM - I'll give the President this - so far, he's got a pretty good speechwriting staff working for him. I may not agree with everything that he's said, but the way he says it is done well.

9:13AM - I REALLY want to meet the guy that wrote this speech.

9:16AM - Grammar cop: Either goes with or, neither goes with nor.

9:22AM - Seriously, this speechwriting staff is SICK.

9:27AM - Okay President Obama, you've got me for the next 100 days. ME of all people. Thank your speechwriting staff and your amazing oratory skills because Slick Willy never got me on his side.

9:32AM - Okay Prof. Alexander, we get it. Slavery used to exist in America.

9:36AM - I'm definitely yellow and mellow today. :-) Nice touch good sir. At least he didn't go with something like Oriental and mental.

9:37AM - Commenting on this Facebook status feed: I'm tired of you idiots who are saying things like "We can live again." Is your life really that bad? Are you living in a sewer and just happen to have Internet access? Would you rather be living in some third world slum?

9:42AM - Shit, do I need to go back to work now?
