Top 10 Things I Like About Cali...

To commemorate my recent trip to the Left Coast...

#10. In-N-Out Burger...Animal Style rocks my world like a coronary rocks an old man with a history of stroke and heart disease.
#9. Even though I try to repress my desire to compare my mom's cooking as much as possible, Chinese food is excellent out there!!
#8. Wow is it clean out there...I mean for some reason, the locals really enjoy picking up after themselves. Very respectable.
#7. I can communicate with the folks in the "service" industries. I don't speak Spanish so sometimes it's hard to understand the Skycap at the airport. At SFO, I whipped out the old school Mandarin and got a cab with a discount rate!!
#6. People are very polite. Not that people aren't nice in the South, I just like polite people...even if it is fake as all get out.
#5. It's really not as different from the South as I had imagined. Sure folks are WAY more liberal but that's nice too.
#4. You can't smoke in a bar or restaurant in SF.
#3. The ladies think I have a cute accent...me having a Southern accent? Who woulda even thunk it?
#2. Skiing in Lake Tahoe is really nice. Not a good as Colorado but definitely way more convenient to get to.
#1. I don't have to live there...WHO HOO!!

Now I did get in a car accident and got pretty sick while I was there but it was still a really nice trip. Maybe I'll actually go out there again someday.

Vacation time!!

Since I didn't get to do much over the winter holidays, I'm leaving tomorrow for California (aka The Left Coast.) Two days in SF and two days in Tahoe should do my mind body and soul some good. If anyone knows of something that I just have to do or see while I'm there, let me know. Here's to me not hurting myself on the slopes this weekend.

Ouch!!

Yeah so after deciding to get off the couch and into the fire, I was among the horde of people to recently join a gym. While I've only been going to the gym for a couple of days, MAN DOES MY BODY HURT!! At least I'll be looking, as my friend Bruce likes to put it, swole in no time. Of course there is the half marathon that I've been training for and I hear lots of cardio doesn't help when you're trying to bulk up. Oh well, here's to being the skinny Asian kid forever.
